Over the past few years, the cryptocurrency markets have seen significant and unprecedented growth, with investors in the space earning huge profits. One major drawback, however, is that trading cryptocurrencies is a bit complicated and the recent influx of new projects into the market is quite overwhelming. As a result, investors that do not have the time, resources or expertise to do exhaustive research may end up making snap judgements and losing money. As such, it has become particularly important for investors to be cautious while making investments in ICOs and cryptocurrencies in general. This is because a large proportion of investors lack the knowledge to dissect projects, analyse teams or even to ascertain the authenticity of the claims made in the white paper. More so, even if these investors have the knowledge and expertise to analyse and make risk assessment for blockchain projects they may lack the time, resources, and in depth research required to make informed decision. On the other hand, there are multiple genuine cryptocurrencies and ICO projects that have viable products, and world class teams that have the ability to execute the vision and deliver revolutionary solutions within the space and this is where CryptoTycoon fits in, a project with a massive multiplayer online tycoon with role playing and economics and strategy. It’s the ultimate blockchain and crypto simulation and a very diverse and challenging game.
CryptoTycoon is a massive multiplayer online tycoon with role playing and economics and strategy. It’s the ultimate blockchain and crypto simulation and a very diverse and challenging game.
CryptoTycoon (the game engine and logic) operates the way blockchain does. The same principles, the same transparency. It’s blockchain visualized in form of game states (the entire game “history” is available at any point via a public link) and like-able game content. The content that is no longer ones and zeroes, but something you can play with and something you can sell, something that has value, something you see with your own eyes.
This is a game, but CryptoTycoon aim to solve a much bigger problem. The vision is to be the spark that starts the public adoption using the entertainment angle. It’s doable and very much real. Entertainment is what people understand. And what people understand that they will use.
History proved that entertainment brought adoption to radio, TV, internet. The time for cryptocurrencies has come.
CryptoTycoon wants to deliver an exceptional game and exceptional experience, design great graphics, code blazing fast network protocols and don’t trade the game quality in the process. That needs funding CryptoTycoon just don’t have.
This is a high level list of the CryptoTycoon goals:
Full 3D with better graphics
Massive Multiplayer Online (think EvE Online)
Enhanced RTS gameplay (think StarCraft 2)
Blueprints and Inventions
Obstacles Facing Blockchain Gaming
The primary obstacle facing the intersection of blockchain and gaming is very clear, scalability. The same problem that is facing the broader industry is inhibiting the sustainability and actual usefulness of current blockchain-based games.
The problem of scalability will ultimately determine which platforms see the majority of interactive games built on them and which become a more non-fungible asset focused model. Regardless, scalability limitations are stifling the sustainability of the vast majority of blockchain games today.
Character role playing: Four tycoons each with their own set of skills to learn.
Easy to learn: Five components to build complex rigs.
Massive multiplayer online: Build your empire together, there are no limits!
Cheat history: Enter Story Mode and see, if you can survive.
Drama: Infiltrate and sabotage enemy rigs to win the race.
Hard to master: Develop blueprints and your own components.
Community-driven marketplace: Sell coins, rigs, comps and blueprints.
About Blockchain simulation
CryptoTycoon game network simulates the way blockchain works. It’s a precise simulation, and it results in a decentralized realtime gaming experience.
The simulation runs on game Nodes (players themselves, client-side) in a manner very similar to how torrents work. Each Node stores the game history and exchanges data (game states) with nearby Nodes. The Game Master Node sets the rules and broadcasts to nearby Nodes, just like a normal server. Any Node can take over the Game Master role.
CryptoTycoon community-driven Marketplace is built on blockchain. It involves trading in-game content to cryptocurrencies and to in-game currency. Unlike many others “built on blockchain” games, CryptoTycoon does not rely on blockchain network speed.
