In medicine, graduate and post-graduate students have a lot on their plate. Even with the rapidly evolving volume of information in medical science, they have to learn extensively across various disciplines at both graduate and post-graduate levels as there are huge demands being placed on them which are also constantly increasing. Sometimes, these huge demands and the humongous amount of information they have to assimilate make it difficult for medical students to cope. However, VoxelX is here to make things easier. VoxelX will create an online DICOM platform (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) that will simulate medical learning, thus making learning across the various disciplines easier than ever.

DICOM is the standard for storing and transmitting medical images and the goal is to be able to extract, edit and show knowledge from various disciplines on the web via the DICOM tool. Integrating various online resources with the structure on the image will significantly reduce the time it takes to source for required information for learning or practical purposes as everything can be done in a single click or touch of the structure on the image. Particularly in the radiology field, the VoxelX team has been working on implementing DICOM-images in medical e-learning since 2013 and at the December 2016 annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, USA, VoxelX published online its Beta version – the DICOM-platform. This platform enables its members to share their pre-validated knowledge and cases both privately and publicly on it, thus making it a community-based platform. To make this platform more appealing with an expanded community, blockchain technology will be leveraged so as to enable monetization of published online contents, no matter how small, by radiologists. The incentives received will motivate radiologists both as publishers and validators, consequently building and expanding the VoxelX community. To receive incentives, VoxelX users will have to create a wallet that will be linked to their account on the VoxelX platform. Based on the ranking system on this platform, more tokens can be earned than others based on your contribution to the platform. Also, the more contribution a user makes to the platform, the more their ranking increases. The incentives will be given via the use of the VoxelX tokens – GRAY tokens which will be launched. The DICOM-platform content will also be financed through the use of the GRAY tokens. Later on, VoxelX plans to expand into other disciplines of the medical field, thus better aiding medical learning. Please, visit the website for more information on this project https://voxelx.io/ .

• It is interactive and educative.
• It is able to annotate and link structures and pathologies in the DICOM-images directly with all possible knowledge resources online.
• For teaching purposes, users will be able to build their own files aided with several auto recognition features.
• Social networking between users.
• Lecture presentation mode.
• Tablet and mobile device mode.
• Multi-touch capability.
• Online case discussion.
• Quick note system.

GRAY tokens are ERC20 compliant on the Ethereum blockchain and will be used to monetize online content as well as create incentives to motivate radiologists so as to expand the community of the VoxelX platform.

Medical studies will be made much easier with the aid of the VoxelX platform. The huge diverse study work that medical practitioners have to deal with as well as the amount of information that they have to assimilate will be simplified via the unique VoxelX platform. I, therefore, urge everyone to participate in the token sale event so as to become a part of this revolution.
